We are excited to announce that Broad Ripple Park (BRP) Rugby has merged with Royal Irish Rugby (RIR). The combined entity consists of:
The merger will provide common administration, shared financial and fundraising resources, and develop high-quality players by teaching the game of rugby as early as the 5th grade. For several years, Royal Irish has had BRP players who moved on to the high school level. The new entity will secure a solid talent pipeline and strengthen the overall program.
Chris Kaufman will remain as the administrator while a new youth parent board was created in August and has been active since September. Last but not least, we welcome two coaches to RIR ranks: Rick Michaelis and Zach Douglas, who are, of course, RIR alumni.
Go Royal Irish!

On to the Moose Rugby Grounds on Monday, May 27 to face Penn HS for A and B side matches. B side won the 2019 State Championship 31-14. A side also won the state title with a 20-12 victory over Penn HS.
Once again, Royal Irish continues its winning tradition at the state and national level.
Because of our ranking, our round one pairing had us facing the team we lost the 2018 title to, Danville Oaks. This time, Royal Irish prevailed, 38-26.
In round two, we faced the San Diego Mustangs, who defeated another impressive team, Granite Bay. Again, Royal Irish came
on top 45-18.
Round three had us facing the Back Bay Sharks. After an incredible match, Royal Irish came in second after a 12-51 defeat.
Our boys performed incredible well and should be VERY proud of their appearance at this year’s championship.
After a bittersweet second place finish at the National Championships in Kansas City, the Royal Irish secures the 2018 State Championship trophy. Check out this video
Having defeated Fort Hunt and Bishop Dwenger in rounds one and two, our boys came in second after a heart-stopping match against Danville Oaks. Following 70 minutes of play in 85 F heat, the match was tied 15-15. Regulation stipulates two 5 minute overtime periods, with no sudden death. After Danville Oaks replenished most of their backs with fresh legs, they quickly scored two trys bringing the final score was 15-29.
